George B. Collins
Chief Executive Officer
George´s 20-year career spans the public and private sectors - including more than 7 years as an information security leader in some of the world's largest manufacturing and financial services companies, and more than 10 years as a Federal consultant, developing security and risk management solutions for various government agencies. He has designed enterprise risk management and security programs, developed information security policies, practices, and processes, created technical security solutions, and conducted audits and technical reviews of security products. A few of his past Federal clients include the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security.
Prior to founding NEMEA, George was vice president & CIO of Maryland-based RiskWatch, Inc. He was responsible for managing the company´s business intelligence and revamping the firm´s training programs to include remote training. George also led the development of a successful client outreach endeavor called The Ambassador´s Program.
George holds several notable certifications including CISSP, CISM, and CISA. He is a graduate of James Madison University and has an MS in Business Administration from The Johns Hopkins University.
Gary Swindon
Chief Operating Officer & Chief Information Security Officer
Gary brings more than 25 years of security expertise to NEMEA, where he oversees day-to-day sales, marketing, software development, and IT. He is a nationally known author and speaker on security, risk, governance, and audit issues for industry and government.
Prior to NEMEA, Gary held senior-level positions in both the public and private sector. He was the COO for RiskWatch, Inc., a producer of risk assessment software. He held the title of CISO for Orlando Regional Healthcare, a leading regional hospital system in Florida. Also, Gary was VP/Chief Security & Privacy Officer for WebMD, Director of the Office of Computing and Telecommunications for the state of Michigan, and the principal of a private business development and consulting firm.
Gary served as a Director for the ISACA CISM certification board as a member of the international panel that conducted the practice analysis for security certification. He holds a BA from the University of Dayton and an MBA from Boston University.
Harriett Swindon
Chief Financial Officer
Harriett is responsible for finance, accounting, and HR management here at NEMEA. Her vast experience includes a diverse background in finance, accounting and academia. Before joining NEMEA, Harriet was Controller for the Municipal Employee´s Retirement Fund of Michigan. There, she was responsible for the successful transition from a government agency to a privately held 501-C3 corporation, serving tens of thousands of employees and retirees. Harriett later assumed a leadership role in community-based organizations at Ft. Meade, MD, where she won formal recognition for her efforts to improve the living environment and quality of life. Prior to that, Harriett was the General Accounting Manager at Data General Corporation. At DGC, she was responsible for creating new subsidiary corporations and establishing Data General Services, Inc.
Harriet holds a BS from the University of Dayton, as well as an MS from the University of Southern California (USC).
Jeff Beardsley
Director of Product Management
Jeff is responsible for leading the development, testing and support for all of NEMEA's products. In his role he manages service providers and coordinates operations with all affiliate IT organizations. With over 18 years of industry experience, Jeff's expertise includes a diverse list of capabilities including leading technology and development teams, leading sales, support, and network operations. He has also acted as founder and held executive positions in two technology consulting practices.
Prior to joining NEMEA, Jeff spent over five years at Vovici and WebSurveyor in Technology, Management. In his executive roles he led the product development, sales, support and network operations for their industry recognized product line. Prior to that Jeff served as CTO of American WholeHealth where he directed the development and launching of their award-winning alternative medicine information portal. Jeff is an entrepreneur at heart, having co-founded and led two successful technology consultancies, Epairo and Jump Information Technologies. These companies provided services to companies such as VeriSign, MCI, and Thomson. Jeff has also held technology leadership positions at Thomson, Bell Atlantic, and EDS.
Jeff graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Missouri with a BS in Business Administration.
