The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a product of the Office of Government Commerce, an office in the United Kingdom´s Treasury. ITIL is considered the international standard of best practices for Information Technology Service Management. The ITIL Version 3 includes an official introduction to ITIL Service Management and five books in the core set.
