The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) jointly publish the Business Pandemic Influenza Planning Checklist. This checklist provides organizations with information on planning for the protection employees, customers, and the organization itself in the event of a pandemic influenza outbreak, such as the Avian Flu. These guidelines are meant to assist an organization in developing a business continuity plan that effectively deals with the threat of a pandemic outbreak.
